Publicity

How applications are advertised

Planning applications for development and planning applications for the subdivision of land are publicised by notice published in the Official Gazette and by display of a site notice.

Further details on these processes are available in the Department’s guidance on publicity of planning applications.

Comments

Submitting comments

Any person may submit comments on a planning application, regardless of whether they would be directly impacted by the proposal.

Comments may be submitted as a formal objection or as a representation.

Comments must be submitted through the Department’s Customer Self-Service portal within 14 days of the date advertised in the Official Gazette. Comments submitted after this time may not be considered.
