How It Works<\/h2>\n

Grow Local is a collaborative initiative between the Department of Planning and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.<\/p>\n

This webpage hosts details of sites which are available for agricultural purposes.<\/p>\n

The Department of Planning will connect people interested in pursuing farming opportunities with landowners willing to have their land farmed. Whilst the Department of Planning can facilitate connections between landowners and farmers, it will not participate in or manage private agreements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Current Land Requests<\/h2>\n

\nPeople interested in participating in Grow Local are currently looking for land which meets the requirements below. If you have land which may be suitable, please get in touch with the Department of Planning.\n<\/p>\n

Land Wanted to Grow Crops<\/h3>\n

\nLooking for a plot of land approximately 100 sq. ft. (10 ft. \u00d7 10 ft.)<\/strong> in size, suitable for growing crops.\n<\/p>\n

\nPreferred location:<\/strong> Warwick, with Southampton or Paget also suitable.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Land Wanted for Community Farming \u2013 St. David\u2019s\/St. George\u2019s<\/h3>\n

\nA group of local residents is seeking a suitable plot of land in the St. David\u2019s or St. George\u2019s area<\/strong> for growing food.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\nHave land which may be suitable?<\/strong> Please email growlocal@gov.bm<\/strong> and include the size of the site and its location on the Island. The Department of Planning will facilitate contact where appropriate but will not participate in or manage any private agreement.\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
