In late 2021 the Department of Planning commenced the process of collecting data to analyse how the City was performing and how land use policies were contributing to this performance with a view to preparing a new plan for the City.<\/p><p>The Department subsequently issued the City of Hamilton Plan 2023 (Consultative Draft) on 20<sup>th<\/sup> January 2023 for public consultation. This represented an additional stage to the traditional plan-making process in Bermuda to bolster public consultation efforts and resolve issues prior to reaching the legislated \u201cDraft Plan\u201d stage of the process.<\/p><p>The public consultation period for the City of Hamilton Plan 2023 (Consultative Draft)\u00a0closed on 24<sup>th<\/sup> March 2023 and the Department has since been reviewing the content of all submissions received to determine whether changes to the plan are merited. All background information, including details of comments submitted and how the Department has responded is set out within the City Survey Report 2024.<\/p><p>We have now reached the legislated Draft Plan stage of the process and are pleased to present the Draft City of Hamilton Plan 2024 for public consultation. Having been through that stage and taken on board comments from stakeholders, the Draft City of Hamilton Plan 2024 provides a more solidified representation of policy direction. Notwithstanding, this consultation phase provides another opportunity to submit comments to the Department in the form of objections or
